SG-VHV held another successful event where we provided everything for over 350 families could have a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. Baskets were handed out on Saturday, Nov 22. At our headquarters, located at 202 S. 4th Street in Copperas Cove, Texas we handed out over 350 Thanksgiving Baskets consisting of Turkeys/Hams and all the trimming for a full Thanksgiving Meal to area Veterans and their families who otherwise might not have a had a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
Thanksgiving Baskets were given to the Copperas Cove, Killeen, Harker Heights and Nolanville Independent School District Homeless Awareness Response Programs (HARP), which selected the recipients.
Also SG-VHV selected other organizations to receive baskets: Harker Heights Vet Center, AFGE Union 1920 of Fort Hood, Copperas Cove WIC Office, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 29, Bring Everyone Back In The Zone, Comanche Chapel (Fort Hood) and other Veterans & Civilians selected by SG-VHV Members.
