Star Group - Veterans Helping Veterans thanks Dr Sean Burgest of Harker Heights Medical Clinc for being our April Monthly Meeting Guest Speaker.
Dr. Burgest was introduced to the group by SG-VHV Member Earl Woods, as he is a patient of Dr. Burgest and he asked him about sponsoring SG-VHV.
Dr. Burgest informed us that many patients do not know their rights and thus they are unaware of the choices they have concerning their care.
He explained that a great number of doctors work for various hospitals and/or programs-systems and thus there may be limitations on the services they can provide to you.
He further noted that several ailments, cancers etc are preventable or can at least be cured if the patient will just take care of themselves.
Many males of all races, usually do not want to go to the doctors nor are they willing to talk about medical conditions. He stated in his own family there were male members that will not talk about certain conditions. With today's medicines and breakthroughs, even many cancers are curable.
The new Harker Heights Medical Clinic (254-213-4322) will be located at 840 Prospector Trail, Harker Heights, TX 76548 and the Grand Opening will be on Saturday, May 17th from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Please come out to the Celebration for FREE Food & Fun!
