During the month of July, Star Group Veterans Helping Veterans members went about town thanking our many 2017 Picnic Sponsors. Some are in the picture but many are not but each are equally as important to the success of our picnic.

We also thank all of the SGVHV volunteers for their hard work and dedication to making the SGVHV Independence Day Picnic Celebration a wonderful success.

A special thanks goes to Mr John Footman and the Purple Heart Organization for bringing the Texas Memorial Purple Heart traveling wall and to the CC Police & Fire Dept as well as the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 23:5 who escorted the motorcade to the Copperas Cove Civic Center.

Also thank you to the "I Am Sergeant" Presentation by Ft Hood military which was phenomenal.

And thank you to the many area businesses who donated the many giveaways and door prizes. Your gifts kept the excitement going through out the entire event.

The Picnic was made possible through the support of several event sponsors including Platinum Sponsors: PCSI, the City of Copperas Cove, Century 21 & JR Herring Rentals, The National United Bank, Ted Smith Law Group, Linnemann Realty, Scott’s Funeral Home, All American Chevrolet, AFGE Local 1920 & District 10, the Copperas Cove, Killeen, and Harker Heights Walmart, Sam’s Club, and PEPSI.

Gold Sponsors included Minuteman Press Killeen and Operation Phantom Support.

Silver Sponsors included Lil’ Tex Family Restaurant, Bill French Jewelers, A Cut Above, Oliver Transmission, and Central Texas College.

Ice cream was donated by Blue Bell of Waco and freezer donated by Buddy's Home Furnishings Rental of Copperas Cove. Balloon decorations were by NJP Ballons of Killeen and Rolling Video Games of Killeen provided the game truck fun. Three (3) vehicles/trucks were on display by All American Chevrolet of Killeen and Fairway Sports Vehicles of Salado donated the golf carts to transport people to and from their vehicles.

Thank You to Everyone who made this Event possible and all the SGVHV members who worked so hard to make sure everything was great.
